Laboratory Services at Wayne Medical Center
The laboratory at Wayne Medical Center is staffed with licensed medical technology professionals who work under the direction of board-certified pathologists. Our laboratory is fully accredited by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of the State of Tennessee, The Joint Commission and College of American Pathologists.
The laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide laboratory collection and testing for inpatients and Emergency Department patients. If your health care provider needs laboratory testing as part of your care, our outpatient laboratory services are available with your provider's order.
In addition to the collection process and test results that are conducted at Wayne Medical Center, some specimens may be transported to the laboratory at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia or to another lab for diagnostic testing.
Results of laboratory testing allow your physician to have a more complete picture of your health to aid in diagnosing and monitoring health conditions.
