Auxiliary
The Maury Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is a service organization chartered by the American Hospital Association. The group was organized several months before the first patient was admitted in December 1953.
For more than 70 years, volunteers at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) have also been members of the MRMC Auxiliary, a separate fundraising entity. As times have changed, so has the role of hospital auxiliaries nationwide. As a result, the MRMC Auxiliary — not the volunteer program — will be dissolving. The funds previously raised by the Auxiliary will continue to benefit this community as they are transferred to the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation, which has worked to expand health care and community outreach services throughout southern Middle Tennessee since 2006. We are immensely grateful to the Auxiliary and its members for their contributions, having raised more than $2.5 million in support of projects at the medical center, including support for the mobile medical unit, Care-A-Van shuttle service, scholarships and K-9 security units.
We continue to offer exciting volunteer opportunities and will hold fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting the general fund of the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation.
