VISITOR guidelines
Visits from family and friends can be an important part of the recovery process. Maury Regional Medical Center, Marshall Medical Center and Wayne Medical Center have visitation policies formed with our patients’ best interests in mind. Patients are welcome to have visitors of their choice during their hospital stay; however, visitors are encouraged to respect the patient’s need for rest. To ensure the privacy of our patients, there may be times that visitation is briefly interrupted to provide treatment. Depending upon the condition of the patient, there may be restrictions on food, flowers or other items brought into a patient’s room. Please consult a member of our nursing staff if you have any questions. Visiting hours at our facilities are as follows:
Maury Regional Medical Center
- Monday-Friday: 5 AM – 9 PM
- Saturday: 6 AM – 9 PM
- Sunday: 8 AM – 9 PM
Visitors at Maury Regional Medical Center who meet the criteria stated below should arrive at the main entrance, with the exception of those accompanying imaging and emergency room patients who should report to the point-of-service entrance. Main entrance hours are Monday - Friday from 5 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturday from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Please note that specific departments may have unique hours or visitation guidelines as outlined below.
Visiting hours conclude at 9 p.m. each night, and visitors should not remain in the waiting areas after this time. After-hours visitation may be granted on a case-by-case basis. However, to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, any after-hours visitor(s) who leaves will not be permitted back into the building after 9 p.m.
Inpatients
- Critical Care Unit – Two rotating visitors are allowed at a time between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. All visitors on the Critical Care Unit must be 16 or older.
- Childbirth – In the Labor & Delivery Unit, three designated support persons may be present during delivery. Following delivery, additional visitors are allowed once mother and baby are moved to the Mother/Baby Unit.
- NICU – Only two people (ages 18 and older) are allowed at the bedside per visit and must be accompanied by a parent or designated support person. Siblings older than four years of age are allowed to visit for 30 minutes when accompanied by an adult at all times.
- COVID-positive patients – Two visitors are permitted for all COVID-positive patients with personal protective equipment (PPE) required during their visit, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (except for patients in the Critical Care Unit where visiting hours are between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.) Exceptions will be made for end-of-life. No overnight visits are allowed.
- Non-COVID patients on a unit not specified above – Visitation is not restricted; however, any visitor under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Outpatients
- Emergency department – Two support persons are permitted. Adult patients who present with COVID-like symptoms will not be allowed visitors; however, minors or those who have physical or cognitive disabilities will be allowed.
- Outpatient surgery and endoscopy patients – Two support persons are permitted before and during the procedure.
Marshall Medical Center
Visitors at Marshall Medical Center who meet the criteria stated below should utilize the main entrance Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with the exception of those accompanying an emergency room patient. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors should enter through the emergency department.
- Non-COVID Inpatients – Two visitors are permitted at a time with rotating visitors accepted
- COVID Inpatients – Two visitors are permitted for all COVID-positive patients, with personal protective equipment (PPE) required during their visit. Exceptions will be made for end-of-life.
- Emergency Department – Two support persons are permitted. Adult patients who present with COVID-like symptoms will not be allowed visitors; however, minors or those who have physical or cognitive disabilities will be allowed one support person.
Wayne Medical Center
Visitors at Wayne Medical Center should enter through the main entrance located on the second floor near the Emergency Department. One support person is permitted. Adult patients who present with COVID-like symptoms will not be allowed visitors; however, minors or those who have physical or cognitive disabilities will be allowed one support person. Additional guidelines may apply to individuals with cognitive disabilities.
VISITOR PARKING
Parking for visitors is available in the main parking lot of each facility. Visitors may exit through the main doors at all times.
Dining options
Maury Regional Medical Center
Cafeteria
Maury Regional Medical Center completed renovations to their dining areas in 2024, offering a pleasant environment and expanded menu options. The cafeteria is located on the ground floor and offers a wide selection of hot entrees as well as a pizza bar, made-to-order hot and cold sandwiches, a bowl station and a large soup and salad bar. The cafeteria is open daily for breakfast and lunch. Service ends at 1:30 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. on weekends.
1224 Grille
Our 1224 Grille is located on the first floor and has a menu featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner items that are made to order and hot off the grill. In addition, a Starbucks® kiosk is located in the café that serves a variety of coffee beverages. Hours are Monday–Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
MARSHALL MEDICAL CENTER
The cafeteria at Marshall Medical Center offers a variety of hot menu items during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cafeteria is located near the main entrance and provides meal service during the following hours:

Breakfast 7 - 8 AM
Lunch 11 AM - 12:30 PM
Wayne MEDICAL CENTER
The cafeteria at Wayne Medical Center is available for meal service to visitors. The cafeteria is located on the second floor near the public elevators. Serving hours are as follows:
Daily
Breakfast 7:30 - 9:30 AM
Lunch 12 PM - 1:30 PM
Dinner 5:30 - 6:15 PM

Gift shop
Gift shop The Maury Regional Auxiliary Gift Shop is located on the medical center's first floor next to the café. The shop showcases community artists and offers an assortment of gifts for new babies, greeting cards, fresh floral arrangements, candy, balloons, jewelry, stamps, toiletries and much more.
