Thigh Lift
Thigh lifts are similar to arm lifts involving removal of redundant skin--this time in the medial thighs.
This procedure can be performed as incision limiting or in a traditional manner. However, lateral thigh excess is addressed in a different way as a direct excision of this part of the thigh is not recommended. Instead, this thigh lift is accomplished by performing what is known as a circumferential body lift with liposuction. This procedure involves the excision of lateral thigh skin by advancing it upward into an incision that extends along the lower back. This technique also has the ability to augment the buttock region, which frequently loses volume as a result of weight loss.
To best determine which procedure to pursue, each patient should discuss their goals with a plastic surgeon experienced in both techniques.
