PALS Provider Course
This course is intended for someone who’s PALS certification is expired or a participant who is new to assisting in the management of pediatric emergency/code situations.
The PALS course focuses on the recognition and management of:
- Respiratory distress or failure
- Compensated and hypotensive shock
- The child with a life-threatening bradyarrhythmia, tachyarrhythmia, or cardiac arrest
- Basic life support, bag-valve-mask ventilation, and advanced airway management
- Vascular access, fluid therapy, and medications
- Post arrest stabilization and transport
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
Advance registration is required. The registration deadline is two weeks prior to the scheduled course.
Maury Regional Health Employees:
Maury Regional Health employees enroll via the Professional Development Academy. Employees must also get department approval and forward the Payroll Deduction to Nursing Professional Development.
Non—Maury Regional Health Participants:

CANCELlATION & REFUNDS
If you need to cancel, please contact Nursing Professional Development at 931.381.1111 x7428.
The requirements for a full refund are:
- Notice of cancellation at least seven days prior to the class.
- Course materials are returned prior to the course (certified mail or in person)
- Course materials must be in excellent condition.
