Precepting Course
This is a fun, interactive and dynamic class using accelerated learning techniques. It is designed to instruct the new preceptor or refresh a preceptor in the role of facilitating the orientation of new Maury Regional.
The Course objectives are:

Identify the primary roles and responsibilities of a preceptor.

Describe how to apply the principles of adult learning to precepting in orientation.

Apply the principles of effective feedback to evaluate performance.

Explain how to accurately document performance.
This course is approved for four continuing nursing education units.
Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The Precepting Course will be held in the WRW Educational Conference room in the Maury Regional Annex, across from the Main Hospital Campus.
