Compassion, Fatigue and stress Management
This is a four-hour course that is intended to define factors that may precipitate compassion fatigue and assist the participant to recognize potential symptoms that may be exhibited. This course will also provide techniques to manage and reduce stress in the workplace.
The Course objectives are:
- Define the symptoms consistent with compassion fatigue and/or stress.
- Discuss the causal factors that lead to compassion fatigue and/or stress.
- Relate potential positive and negative responses to stress.
- Demonstrate techniques to reduce stress in the workplace.
This course is approved for four continuing nursing education units.
Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Compassion, Fatigue and Stress Management will be held in the Education building behind the main hospital.
