Patient and Family Partnership Council

This council is comprised of medical center staff and former patients, or caregivers of former patients. Its purpose is to serve in an advisory capacity to assist Maury Regional as we strive to achieve extraordinary outcomes and to constantly improve our clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Responsibilities of Council Members

As part of this council, members will actively promote and create new and innovative opportunities for communication, seek and deploy the voice of the customer, and become a catalyst for collaboration between patients, families, employees, physicians and volunteers to achieve personalized patient-centered care. Members serve either a one– or two-year term of service and will be expected to attend monthly meetings and actively participate on committees. Because of the nature of the council’s work, members must up-hold the highest standards of ethics and responsibilities and must sign a confidentiality statement.

Selection of Members

Six to eight individuals who are representative of the communities that we serve will be chosen as council members through a selective interview process. Individuals must have been a patient or caregiver of a patient at Maury Regional within the past two years. Finalists will be selected for interviews based on experience, skills, and a desire to positively impact the health care experience at Maury Regional.
