federally-qualified medical practices

Maury Regional Health has several physician practices that have been designated as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). In addition to accepting Medicare, Medicaid, TennCare and commercial insurance, these practices offer services at a discounted rate or nominal fee to uninsured or under-insured patients who financially qualify. Because these practices offer income-based discounts for those who qualify, they receive support from the federal government. To learn more about available services and discounted fees, contact one of the locations or ask our registration personnel during your next visit.

recognition for diabetes care

The Bureau of Primary Health Care at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has recognized community health centers offered by Maury Regional Health for meeting or exceeding national goals for uncontrolled diabetes and for documentation of weight screening and follow-up for adults, children and adolescents. The recognition is based on 2017 data submitted by Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) as part of HRSA’s Health Center Program Diabetes Quality Improvement Initiative to improve diabetes outcomes and lower health care costs. Only 20 FQHC-qualified organizations in the United States were recognized for meeting or exceeding all three benchmarks.
